News ItemsMuseum Passes Passses are checked out for 2 days. 1 pass per family. No renewals. Read each pass carefully for admission rules. Not all passes give free admission*. Passes are $1 per day overdue fines. Replacement fees for passes vary. Beardsley Zoo Pass--(www.beardsleyzoo.org) Free admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children. Limited to 1 family per day. Connecticut's Old State House Pass--(www.ctoldstatehouse.org) Free admission for up to 2 adults and 2 children. It cannot be used for special events, group admission, or after-hour events. Ample parking is available in a nearby garage (State Street South Parking Garage). Visitors should bring their garage tickets to the Old State House to be stamped, so visitors will only pay $5 to park for the entire day. CT State Parks & Forests Day Pass--This pass is used to cover the cost of parking at state parks and forests where there is an established parking charge. The pass can also be used to cover the admission fee for 2 adults and 4 children at state historical sites and exhibit centers at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull, and Gillette Castle State Parks. For directions and hours of operation, visit the No Child Left Inside website : www.NoChildLeftInside.org *Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk Pass--(www.maritimeaquarium.org) $2 off combination ticket (Aquarium & Daytime IMAX). Good for up to 6 people. Cannot be combined with other offers. *Mystic Aquarium Pass --(mysticaquarium.org) Save $6 off Adult and $4 off Child Admission. Good for 2 adults and 2 children ages 3-17. Pass may only be used once per day. Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art Pass--(www.WadsworthAtheneum.org) Free general museum admission for 2 adults and 2 children through age 17. Children age 12 and younger are free. The pass may not be applied towards group tours or group reservations. During fundraisers, a fee applies. Limit to one visit per day.

Our Monthly CalendarsItems Of Special InterestLibrary Board MeetingsThe trustees of the Levi E. Coe Libary Association meet the first Tuesday of every month. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM in Library Hall. The Levi Coe Book ClubThe Levi E. Coe Library hosts a great book club. This group meets the third Wednesday of every month at 1:30 P.M. from September–June. Classic fiction, new fiction, and nonfiction titles are discussed. New members are always welcome. The Book SalePaperback book sale the first Saturday in May. Regular book sale coming Spring 2014. Date TBA. Also, stop by our upper lobby and visit our ongoing book sale: hard covers, paperbacks, and DVDs! Art ExhibitsLocal artists, area schools, and members of the Middletown Art Guild display their works through-out the library. A new display is featured each month. Also- The downstairs display case and bulletin board is now open to artists of all ages that wish to display their work. Contact the Children's Room at 349-3857 ext. 2 to reserve a time. |
