CT State Parks and Forests Day Pass

This library pass gets checked out for 2 days and may be used to cover the cost of parking at state parks and forests where there is an established parking charge. Parking fees are charged at all four state park beaches on Long Island Sound, as well as, several inland parks. This pass can also be used to cover the admission fee for two adults and four children at state historical sites and exhibit centers at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull, and Gillette Castle State Parks. This pass is valid from April 19 through October 6, 2008.

Library Board Meetings

The library board meets the first Tuesday of every month from September - June. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM in Library Hall. For the minutes of the last board meeting click here. For the agenda of the next meeting click here.

Library Association Meetings

The library association meets four times a year on the third Wednesday of January, March, May and September. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM in Library Hall. For the minutes of the last association meeting click here. For the agenda of the next meeting click here.

The Levi Coe Book Club

The Levi E. Coe Library hosts a great book club. This group meets the third Monday of every month at 7:15 P.M. from September–June. Classic fiction, new fiction, and nonfiction titles are discussed. New members are always welcome.

Library Association Looking for Members

The Levi E. Coe Library Association was incorporated in 1893 by a joint resolution of the Connecticut General Assembly. Membership in the aassociation is open to any Middlefield resident. The purpose of the association is to maintain and support the library. Members serve on library committees responsible for fundraising, long-range planning, fiance, and capital improvements. Members may also serve on the board of directors. The association meets four times a year : January, March, May, and the annual meeting in September (all meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM). The Book Sale

Held annually in March. Also, stop by our upper lobby and visit our ongoing book sale: hard covers, paperbacks, and videos!

Art Exhibits

Local artists, area schools, and members of the Middletown Art Guild display their works through-out the library. A new display is featured each month.

The downstairs display case and bulletin board is now open to artists of all ages that wish to display their work. Contact the Children's Room at 349-3857 ext. 2 to reserve a time.
